Version years: 1847 v. 1849? edit

The work is officially said to be 1847 since it was lecture notes. However, the first edition was published by Marx in NRZ newspaper in 1849. Unofficial pamphlets were published into the 1880s based on the articles. Only in 1891, did Engels issue an official edition in German. I've used 1849 and 1891 for that reason. As an aside, the Collected Works of Marx and Engels includes Wage-Labor and Capital in volume 9 for the year 1849. --Ashawley (talk) 16:09, 12 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

That's fine with me MarkLSteadman (talk) 16:55, 12 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

The discrepancy will exist and may be a point of confusion in the future, so I added the note here on the discussion. The 1847 date is important for noting, like on Author:Karl Marx, that it is the year of origin of these ideas for Marx in his lectures. Granted, the existence of the original 1847 lecture notes are known. I suppose that they could appear and a version could be published (and translated to English), but not likely. --Ashawley (talk) 04:32, 13 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
