Translation:Mishnah/Seder Zeraim/Tractate Berakhot/Chapter 6/4
Introduction edit
The Mishnah now turns to discuss a very obvious question: What does one say if he or she is going to consume different types of food together? The halakha holds that one blessing will suffice for all of the food present, and the blessing that is said can be for any of the foods present.
Hebrew Text edit
- היו לפניו מינים הרבה –
- רבי יהודה אומר:
- אם יש ביניהם ממין שבעה – מברך עליו.
- וחכמים אומרים:
- מברך על איזה מהם שירצה.
English Translation edit

- Rabbi Yehudah says:
- If there is among them one of the seven species – Bless for that one.
- But the Sages say:
- Bless for whichever he desires.
