Records of the Grand Historian

edit

On the English Wikisource, works must be presented in English, which in this case means it must be a translation. Whose translation are you working from? The translator should be identified.

Also, is the translation in public domain, and is there a scan available? Works on Wikisource must be free of copyright (including translations), and we prefer to work from a scanned copy because it allows editors to check for accuracy of transcription. --EncycloPetey (talk) 18:31, 20 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

OK. But these are just lists of sections. Where will the content of the sections come from? Wikisource is about the content of works. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 01:39, 21 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
Now, I have not found a public version of the book, so the content will be added in the future. --Franklyzzm (talk) 01:52, 21 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
If there is no public domain version if the book in English, then it cannot be hosted on English Wikisource. All works must derived from a published copy in the public domain. Wikisource does not host articles about works; we host the works themselves. --EncycloPetey (talk) 16:26, 21 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Chinese characters in bold

edit

Putting all Chinese characters in bold makes them difficult to read. --EncycloPetey (talk) 04:54, 26 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

But in the picture, the color of the Chinese characters is darker than the English characters. --Franklyzzm (talk) 10:06, 26 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
They appear darker because they are printed larger than the other text. They are not in bold. --EncycloPetey (talk) 13:31, 26 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
