As a question, we had some of those works at Author:Thomas Stearns Eliot wrapped in the template {{copyright until}}. I was wondering why you took those works out of that sort of protection. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 14:47, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Wild Swans at Cool edit

Hi. Hope you don't mind my intrusion in this work. You can center pages in Main namespace if you want, avoiding div tags etc. Pls a look at The Wild Swans at Cool. Hope you like this. Bye --Mpaa (talk) 20:49, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wow. That's nice. I'm definitely using it. Thanks a lot. ^^ --StephenDaedalus 23:52, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Once you are done, I think pages like The Wild Swans at Coole and the other, listed in Author:William Butler Yeats should be converted to redirects to your work. Unless they are different versions taken from other works and then they should be listed in a version page. --Mpaa (talk) 23:39, 18 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Actually I uploaded those too, before finding out how to do the upload/proofread process. Do you think it's better to delete or to redirect those? --StephenDaedalus 00:51, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I am not an expert in poetry. If you think they deserve to have visibility as they are known as individual works, I would say -> redirect, so if someone searches for such single poem, it will appear. --Mpaa (talk) 00:31, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi. I noticed you removed the entries for the author page. If it is Ok for you to delete the 'stand-alone' poem pages, pls tag them with Template:Sdelete, so they can be deleted. Otherwise pls redirect them, so we have a reference to a work backed up by a scan. Bye--Mpaa (talk) 15:19, 19 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I just tagged them for speedy deletion. I'll do the same with the ones from "The Wanderings of Oisin and Other Poems" once I've uploaded a sourced version. Thank you again for all the help. Let me know if you notice some other mistake! ^^ StephenDaedalus 01:59, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I've declined the speedy delete requests and converted them all to re-directs. The casual user of enWS is not going to know that such-and-such a poem was published in a particular collection. If someone searches for the individual poem and doesn't find it, then they might decide that it's not here and upload it again, or go off to some other site. Whereas with a re-direct they'll be taken to the poem and then will be able to explore the poems that Yeats chose to put either side of it, &c. Cheers, Beeswaxcandle (talk) 08:50, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
It sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Sorry for such a mess. StephenDaedalus 18:28, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Content Tables edit

Hi. I have a problem. Hope you can give it a look. I tried doing here the same as in the "The Wild Swans at Coole", but for some reason the links only work from here and from here. There has to be some obvious mistake, but I cant see it.

Thanks for validating tWSaC, BTW! --StephenDaedalus (talk) 07:45, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I quickly try a fix here. Quick feedback, might be wrong as I only had a glance. The problem is that TOC link create links to sub-pages. In your case, you have put the chapters on the same level as the main work.--Mpaa (talk) 07:20, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
TOC link creates different links depending whether you are in Page ns or Main ns. That is why in Page ns it works. In Main ns, hoover the mouse on links for pages in the TOC, you will see what link is created. That should allow you to understand why it is not working. However, best practise its to keep the whole work together. My suggestion is that you move the chapters below the main page of the book. And leave redirects in the current pages if they are searched as individual works. --Mpaa (talk) 12:31, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
StephenDaedalus, is this still an issue? Do you need help in moving the pages? I can support with a few pages if you need.--Mpaa (talk) 15:02, 9 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for the delay. I've alredy fixed it. It was the page/sub-page think. I think it's way too long to be presented all the poems together. Thanks a lot for the help! --StephenDaedalus (talk) 11:35, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
What you did is what I meant, chapters&sub-chapters, not all text in one page. --Mpaa (talk) 15:27, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
And I have been in and edited, and put in direct links to the subpages. <shrug> — billinghurst sDrewth 15:34, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Subpages and relative links edit

Hi. If you take a peek at my edit you will see that I have done some modifications. We generally would only categorise at the top of a work, though we do categorise subpages when the subpage is significantly different from the categories in a work. Also please note how we prefer to do relative links within a work. We do it this way in case of having to move a work and its subpages that we don't need to go through and fix links. — billinghurst sDrewth 16:57, 3 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

It makes sense. I'll do the same with the rest right now. Thank you for the advise, billinghurst. --StephenDaedalus (talk) 03:26, 4 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
Great. Apologies for not including this link earlier Wikisource:Subpagesbillinghurst sDrewth 04:30, 4 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Keats' poems and letters edit

Just a note in case you return to edit, the Index:The Complete Poetical Works and Letters (1899).pdf will be/has been replaced by Index:The complete poetical works and letters of John Keats, 1899.djvu. Thanks, Londonjackbooks (talk) 11:26, 17 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

P.S. The deletion will cause related content to be redlinked at User:StephenDaedalus/Notes on Poetry Londonjackbooks (talk) 11:29, 17 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Rime of the Ancient Mariner (1817) edit

Hi there. I've migrated this work, having set up the index page for Sybilline Leaves, where it was originally taken from. Picked up your link via 'What links here'. Regards, Chrisguise (talk) 00:14, 5 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
