I cannot find any indication that this work was previously published. A Google search for lines of text from the work turns up only the version posted here, and a link from the putative author's entry at w:Yuri Galanskov goes nowhere. Tarmstro99 17:43, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

User:Galanskov hasnt been active on Wikipedia for a few months, and doesnt have email enabled, but I suspect that it is a descendant of the author. archive.org has a copy. John Vandenberg 11:40, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
A little research turned up this book (OCLC 487704), consisting of a translated account of the trial that resulted in Galanskov being sent to the gulag. Briefly skimming the book reveals that it does not contain For an End to the Policy of Reprisals, which makes some sense since that work wasn’t written until after Galanskov had been imprisoned (and therefore wouldn’t have been in existence at the time of his trial). The diacritica reference available via the archive.org link doesn’t contain any information regarding the publication of this work, but I’ll try here next. Tarmstro99 21:54, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Poet and Man: In Memory of Yuri Galanskov (OCLC 2082182) is an 81-page English translation, published in Norway in 1973, of a compilation of Russian-language works by and about Galanskov that were distributed in the USSR via samizdat in the years leading up to his death in 1972. It does not include For an End to the Policy of Reprisals. Moreover, the English-language works that it does include (among them, a set of poems and letters authored by Galanskov in captivity) are the subject of an express translation copyright. Following Worldcat’s subject:Yuri Galanskov link turns up a let of mostly foreign-language published sources, none of which look particularly promising for finding For an End to the Policy of Reprisals. My research thus far tends to confirm that this work was not previously published. Tarmstro99 17:43, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
  • This seems to something that would have been published in a newspaper. I am going to make some inquiries about it.--BirgitteSB 17:38, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
    • I haven't found any publication information, however I just realized this is correspondence and should be included as a "Documentary source" regardless of publication.--BirgitteSB 18:10, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Both pages appear to be the same document, so they should probably be merged. Wild Wolf 00:30, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

This appears be by a living author, despite it saying that it is "by a unknown author". The IP has had almost a day to respond to requests for more information. John Vandenberg (chat) 22:00, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

The Devil On Washington Rock is another work by a living author added by 72.73.127.244 (talkcontribs) that doesnt appear to fit within our Inclusion policy. John Vandenberg (chat) 03:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

I deleted them a few weeks ago, but forgot to close this section. Cowardly Lion 18:30, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Correction - I deleted one of them a few weeks ago, and have deleted the other just now. Cowardly Lion 18:32, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
