Complexity

I thought of making something like this, but I think it would end up being as involved as doing your taxes, and even then it wouldn't be reliable. Seriously, by the time you take into consideration different countries' views on copyright applicability, Freedom of Panorama, unpublished works, corporate authorship, war-time exceptions, what counts as a derivative work, Rule of the Shorter Term, whether copyright is given to non-citizen residents or non-resident citizens, retroactive and non-retroactive changes, posthumous publications, ad nauseam, you're seriously looking at a 20 minute process.
