Concern edit
I see in the "To do" section two strange requests, "Create section for opposing viewpoints [and] Maybe an argumentation/debate section "...this is not a forum for people to argue/debate or offer opposing viewpoints, it is strictly a collection of works pertaining to a certain topic. I don't think we want to branch off into encouraging people to use it as a "forum", it should be solely aimed at helping interested parties contribute/use Wikisource. StateOfAvon (talk) 23:15, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
- My thought was to "house" a section, or sections, for possible SOURCE TEXT LINKS with opposing viewpoints to be placed (creation/evolution; federalist/anti-federalist; constitutional interpretations, etc... and the like)... Not a forum for dialogue. Sorry if I was misunderstood on that point... Same thing with argumentation & debate... Something like texts related to Lincoln-Douglas debate source texts (there is an Index related to this area that is in need of proofreading that I came across) & other forms of debate, etc... Londonjackbooks (talk) 01:34, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
- I have been browsing through the list of texts already in need of being proofread, and have been placing some that I feel may be of interest here... So many already in-progress needing to be proofread... But I am one to talk, being that I keep adding to the stores myself; but I suppose that is the idea... If someone gets a hankering for a project, they'll be devoted to seeing it through to fruition... Londonjackbooks (talk) 01:44, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
- I changed my wording on the Project page for clarification. Thanks! Londonjackbooks (talk) 11:29, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
External works edit
We've lost the redlinks to add the external works to WS, which I think would be important - though it's great to have them linked on Archive.org, I wonder if we wouldn't be better including a redlink on WS as well as the external link to finding it - thus encouraging its addition to our project. StateOfAvon (talk) 23:15, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
- I am a poor judge where red links are concerned, and will defer... Londonjackbooks (talk) 01:36, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
- I added some information (links to Google Books, Archive.org & uploading how-to informational links) to the External works section of the project page. Kind of a self-help prompt... I also added to the Requests section a drop-down option where Contributors who have experience with creating Indexes can add their User:names (maybe their User talk:page names) to the list for people who may need help uploading desired material for a project.
