Guy Wetmore Carryl
(1873–1904)

Guy Wetmore Carryl (March 4, 1873–April 1, 1904) was an American humorist, novelist, and poet. He was born in New York City, the first-born of author Charles Edward Carryl and Mary R. Wetmore. He is best known for his poems that are parodies of Aesop's Fables, Grimm's Fairy Tales and Mother Goose nursery rhymes.
