REGULATION OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE
Withdrawal of Compensation and Other Interests
of the Members of the National People's Assembly
BE 2550 (2007)
Pursuant to Section 20, Section 22 and Section 23 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand (Interim) Buddhist Era 2549 (2006) which prescribes the National People's Assembly to have duties to elect the members of the Constitution Drafting Assembly.
So as to direct the withdrawal of compensation and other interests of the members of the National People's Assembly. Be it, by the virtue of Section 21 (2) of the Budget Procedure Act BE 2502 (1959), regulated by the Minister of Finance, by and with the approval of the Council of Ministers, as follows:
Section 1. This Regulation is called the "Regulation of the Ministry of Finance on Withdrawal of Compensation and Other Interests of the Members of the National People's Assembly BE 2550 (2007)."
Section 2. This Regulation shall come into force as of 10 December BE 2549 (2006).
Section 3. In this Regulation:
"National People's Assembly" means the National People's Assembly in accordance with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand (Interim) Buddhist Era 2549 (2006).
Section 4. The members of the National People's Assembly shall receive the compensation, five thousand Baht per each, for the discharge of duties until its termination. Withdrawal of the journey expenses shall not be made; with the exception of an inter-provincial journey which requires overnight staying, the residential expenses of which are allowed to be withdrawn in the rate of one thousand Baht per diem. And withdrawal of the traveling expenses shall be made in accordance with the veridical payment for a journey from his or her dwelling to a staying place. In the case of a journey by plane, the expenses of which shall be withdrawn in the rate of low-cost travel.
The persons in capacity as the President and the Vice Presidents of the National People's Assembly shall also enjoy receipt of the compensation and other interests in accordance with Paragraph One.
Section 5. The compensation and other interests shall be withdrawn from the Secretariat of the House of Representatives.
Section 6. There shall be an evidence of the payment of compensation and other interests as prescribed herein in accordance with official regulations for scrutiny of the Auditor General's Office.
Section 7. Any other procedures unpredictable in this Regulation shall be performed in conformity with official regulations mutatis mutandis.
Section 8. In the case where the problem or the incapability to comply with this Regulation exists, the conference or application for agreement with the Ministry of Finance shall be carried out.
Section 9. The Permanent Secretary of Finance shall have charge and control of the execution of this Regulation.
