EMERY (JASPAR), bookseller in London; In Paul's Church-yard at the signe of the Eagle and Child, neare St. Austin's Gate, 1629-41. Took up his freedom March 26th, 1629 [Arber, iii. 686], and at once began to publish plays, amongst his first entries in the register being Thomas Drew's Duchess of Suffolk, which he entered on November 13th, 1629. He was also the publisher of Thomas Heywood's Life of Merlin, issued in 1641. [B.M. 292. f. 35.]
