MABB (RALPH), bookseller in London; Greyhound St. Paul's Churchyard, 1610-42. Son of John Mabb, goldsmith of London. Apprentice to William Leake for eight years from Christmas, 1603. Took up his freedom January 16th, 1610. [Arber, ii. 269; iii. 683.] Amongst his publications may be mentioned the first edition of John Gwillim's Display of Heraldrie, and a play called The Spanish Bawd, by James Mabbe.
