TONGE (JOHN), bookseller (?) in Warrington, Lancashire [c. 1653]. In the Registers of the Parish Church of Warrington is the following entry among the burials:— "1653. May 7 John Tounge, 'the stationer.'" Mr. W. H. Rylands when preparing his notes on Warrington Booksellers and Stationers had no information about him.
