A Dictionary of the Booksellers and Printers who Were at Work in England, Scotland and Ireland from 1641 to 1667/Whitaker (Thomas)

WHITAKER (THOMAS), bookseller in London; King's Arms, St. Paul's Churchyard, 1642(?)-50(?). In partnership with Richard Whitaker, and carried on the business after Richard's death in 1648. Thomas Whitaker died about 1650, and his widow married Mr. Alexander Brome. On March 7th, 165 2/3, they assigned over all their right and title to the Whitaker copyrights to Humphrey Robinson, Richard Thrale, Joshua Kirton, and Samuel Thompson. This assignment numbered one hundred and nine items, and fills four pages of the Stationers' Register. [See also Introduction.]
