דפוס m. (interch. with טפוס; דפף, cmp. form דלוס) [joined boards forming a frame, v. דף pl..] frame, mould for cakes &c. Men. XI, 1 (94a) ד (Mish. ט׳). Dem. V, 4 ׳- ד׳ מכל Ar. (ed. ט׳; Y. טיפוס) from each cake-form. Succ. 36b בד׳ גדלו if one trained it (the Ethrog) in a. frame. -- B. II, 3 וכ׳ ד׳ חבית an attach- ment in the shape of a jar itted into the projecting rims of a vessel (to serve as a handle). Pi. דפן to force, enforce the law against. Sifra Emor ch. I דפנו רצה לא אם מנין whence do we prove the rule, If he refuses (to dismiss her), force him'; Yeb. 88b מנין וכ׳ שאם (read אם). Ib. דפנו למימר צריכא (not דד׳, v. Yalk. Lev. 629). Ib. בעדים דפנו proceed against him by pro- curing counter-evidence.

דפשקא m. (Dif. of פשק, dial. for פסק, פתק, v.ד־; v. Koh. Ar. Compl. s. v. דבשקא; corresp. to בצעה) dyke, ditch. Pl. דפשקי. Sabb. 21a רבי ומד׳ ed. (Ar. ובדוב׳, Mus. s. v. פשק quotes ומפשקי in Rashi, דופש׳ in Talm.) and they grow in dykes.
