טחוריא, טחורין m. pl. (b. h. k'ri טחרים; v. טחר) piles, hemorrhoids. Targ. Deut. XXVIII, 27; a. e. -Targ. Ps. LXXVIII, 66 (h. text אחור).
טחי, טחא (v. טוח II) to squeeze into, fasten to. Gitt. 69b בתנורא ניטחייה (not חייא . . .) let him squeeze it (the milt) into (the cracks of) an oven; אורבי ביני ניט׳ let him squeeze it in between bricks &c.

טחיי, טחאי m. pl. (טחא, cmp. טוה I) cakes smeared with oil. Sabb. 119a; Hull. 111a ט׳ סאוי תלת three S'ah of flour made into glistening cakes.

טחינה f. (טהן) grinding. Pes. 11a; a. fr. - Men. XI, s (96a) טחינתן (Mish. ed. טחונן); Tosef. ib. XI, 4 טחנן. -- TTrnsf. sexual contact. Sot. 10a; Num. R. s. 9 (ref. to Jud. XVI, 21, a. Job XXXI, 10).
טחינין m. pl. (preced.) grist, meal, v. כרשינה. Tosef. Dem. I, 24; Hull. 6a; Y. Dem. I, 22a סח׳ (corr. acc.)
טחלא ch. =h. טחול. Gitt. 69b לט׳ for pain in the milt. Hull. 93a; a. fr. -- Pl. טחלי. Ib. וכ׳ דט׳ the veins (sinews) of milts must be removed as fat; v. חוטא. Ib. 111a דט׳ תבשילא a dish of pieces of milt.
טחן (b. h.; cmp. טחי) 1) to mill, grind. Sabb. VII, 2 הטוחן he who grinds (on the Sabbath). Ex. R. s. 36, beg. אותם טוחנין (the olives) are crushed. Sot. 9b . . ועקרן וכ׳ וטחנן and Samson uprooted them (the m ountains) and ground them against one another; Snh. 24a; a. fr. -- Trnsf. to have sexual intercourse (cmp. ~ko). Gen. R. s. 48, end. ---2י) to force to menial labor. Pesik. R. . 23 24 (ed. Fr. p. 122b) ברחיים טוחנו, v. infra, a. כדן. Hif. הטחין to cause to grind. Kidd. 31a bot. ויש בדחיים מטחינו and some one may make his father grind in the mill (v. supra, a. כדן). Keth. 59b (ref. to ib. V, 5) מטתנת . . ס״ד טוחנת you cannot mean that she must do the grinding? . . . she must attend to the grinding.

טחנה f. (b. h;; preced. wds.) mill. Koh. R. to XII, 7 וכ׳ כט׳ ד׳ת נמשלו the study of the Law is alle- gorized as a mill, as the mill does not stop &c. -- Pl. טוחנות (fr. טוחנה) millstones. Lam. R. introd. (R. Josh. 2) כט׳ ישראל נמשלו Israel is compared tto millstones (never resting), v. supra. Ib. וכ׳ משניות אלו הט׳ the millstones' (Koh. XII, 3), that means the study of the great Mf sh- nayoth of &c.
*טחף (cmp. טחב) to be moist, soiled. - Part. pass. טחוף; fem. טחופה, l. טחופות (of wool) dirty-white, gray, opp. לבנה bright-white. Hull. XI, 2; ib. 136b Ar. (ed. שחופות). [Cmp. Arab. taahf moeror, nubes.]
