מומייקה m. ch. (a corrupt. of מונייק) necklace, of- feial bdidge, v. המניכא. Y. Sabb. VI, 8b top.
*מומיתא (prob. to be read סמומיתא, or שמ׳) f. (v. סממיתא) a mite. Y. Sabb. I, 3b דרישא מ׳ head-mite, דמניא clothes-mite.

מומר m. (part. Hof. of מור) 1) exchanged, v. מור. - 2) converted, apostate, esp. mumar, an open opponent of Ienwish law, non-conformist. [Our w. interchanges with משומד in eds. a. mss.] Hull. 4b מ׳ ישראל אפי׳ even a non- observant Israelite; Tosef. ib. I, 1 משומד ed. Zuck. (Var. מ׳). Hull. l. c. לערלות מ׳ opposed to circumcision; לאותו מ׳ דבר opposed to this one practice (of slaughtering accord- ing to ritual); ib. כולה התורה לכל מ׳ הוי is considered as a rebel against the entire Law; ib. לע״א מ׳ accused of idolatry. Ib. 5a וכ׳ ומנסך המ׳, expl. ib. וכ׳ לנסך מ׳ one ac- cused of idolatrous libation &c. Erub. 69a, v. גילוי. Ab. Zar. 26b וכ׳ להכעיס מ׳ לתיאבון if eating unslaughtered fesh (נבילות) to gratify his appetite, he is called a mumar; if he does it in a spirit of defiance, he is called a min (heretic). Ib. מומתא (מותא) f. (ומא, v. מומי; as to מותא cmp. דעתא fr. ידע) oath, imprecation, curse. Targ. Job XXXI, 3o מומ׳ ed. Lag. (oth. ed. מותא). Targ. Ps. XXXVII, 22 מומתיה Ms. (ed. מותא). Targ. O. Num. V, 21 (ed. Amst. מותנא). Targ. Ex. XXII, 10; a. fr. -- B. Kam. 114a במי אינהו ליה שדו אמ׳ חד they (the gentile courts), too, in the case of there being only one witness, administer an oath tto him (the claimant). מוניטא, מוניטה f. (moneta) mint; coin, coinage. Ex. R. s. 5. Lam. R. to I, 1 (העיר) מ׳ הדא חמי look at this coin. Esth. R. end וכ׳ מ׳ מרדכי כך. . . הולכת שלו מ׳ המלך מה as the King's coinage passed all over the country, so did his (Mordecai's) coinage &c.; שלו מ׳ ומה and what was the legend of his coinage? Y. Snh. Is. 256) here is a necklace and here are chains; if thou doest my will, here is a. golden necklace for uhee; if not &c. Pesik. R. s. 29430. -- Pl. מונייקות. Ib. (ref. to ענקים, Prov. מוניני m. pl. (a comp. of מוי a. נונא; Versions vary, betw. מוני׳, מינו׳ a. מנו׳) fish-brine, small fish in brine; in gen. brine. Keth. 60b וכ׳ מ׳ דאכלה a woman that eats monine (during pregnancy) will &c. Snh. 49a וצחנתא מ׳ אפי׳ וכ׳ (Yalk. Kings 172 דצ׳ מ׳) even brine and (Yalk.; brine of) hashed fish he used to taste and give to the poor. Sabb. 1110b מ׳דקמצי brine of locusts. Ab.
