מסת f. constr. (b. h.; v. next w.) as much as, in ac- cordance with. Hag. 8a (ref. to Deut. XVI, 10) . מלמד מ׳ וכ׳ חגיגתו מביא . . Ms. M. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l.) in accord- ance withh' (the free-will offering &c.), this intimates that one must procure his festal ofering with secular money (not from second tithe-money). Ib. וכ׳ מ׳ דהאי משמע מאי where is the intimation that this missath means secular? (Answ. ref. to מס, Esth. X, 1).

מסתיא, מסתייא, מי׳ f. (denom. of מסת) 1) (it is) enough. Targ. Y. Num. XII, 14 מסתיה it is enough for her. Targ. I Chr. XXI, 15; 27 מסתייך; (Targ. II Sam. XXIV, 16 מסת). -- Y. Keth. I, 25c וכ׳ מסתייה לא is it not enough for her that she has been raised to priesthood? --6Gitt. 14b וכ׳ מיסתיה לא (some ed. מיסתייה) not enough that he did not help us but &c. XLIX, 10) גליתי וכ׳ בשביל מסתריו I laid open his (Esau's) secrets in order to expose his bastards; Yalk. Jer. 331; Yalk. Chr. 1073 מסתי׳ (corr. acc.). Ex.
