מקור m. (נקר, v. next w.) beak, a tool for whetting millstones. Kel. XXIX, 6 (not מקיר).
מקורא ch. same, beak of a bird. Gen. R. s. 64, end, the Egyptian heron אריך דמקוריה whose beak is long; Yalk. ib. 111, end דמוקריה (corr. acc.). Gen. R. l. c. יהיב וכ׳ מקוריה (not מוקריה) he put his beak (into the lion's mouth), and brought tthe bone out; Yalk. . c. קועיה (corr. acc.).

*מקזזא m. (קזז, cmp. גזז a. Arab. kazs salire) jumper, runner. Y. R. Hash. II, 58a top מקזנה כהדין (corr. acc.) the torches were moved (v. Mish. ib. 4) in the manner of the runner (in sigzag). -- Pl. מקזזי. Pesik. B'shall. p. 84a וכ׳ קדמוי מן מקזזוי Ar. (ed. מקקוזיי; Yalk. Ex. 225 מקזווי, corr. acc.) his runners before him, his runners behind him (Cant. R. to IV, 12 אחריו מהלכין ועבדים).

מקטורא, מקטורה m. ch. (קטר II) the upper gar- mentt with the girdle, walking loak or sheet. Y. B. Mets. II, beg. 8b במ׳ כריך אאשכח found a web wrapped up in a cloak. Ab. Zar. 58b וכ׳ עלך אדמקטורך before you take off your cloak, go back (and rescind your decision).

מקטיא, טייא m. pl. (נקט) objects held in the hand while making oath. Tosef. Snh. V, 1 [read;] בקיטא. לי דור דנקיטי ובמ׳ if the contestant says, swear to me by thy life, or by the object or obbjects which I hold (v. נה); Y. ib. III, beg. 21a (corr. acc.).

מקידה, מקדה f. (יקד) fire-pot, fragment ofa vessel used for carrying fire. Sifra M'tsor., Par. 1, ch. I חרס אי וכ׳ מ׳ יכול from the word heres (Lev. XIV, 5) I might infer that a fragment of a vessel was meant, therefore it says 'a vessel. Y. Sot. II, 17a bot. בשניטל במ׳ לא .. דמו מאן וכ׳ he who says .. you must not use a makkeda, means a vessel the larger portion of which is missing. Num. R.. s. 9; Sot. 9a חרם של מ׳ a piece of an earthen vessel, opp. משובחין כוסות; ib. 32b. Sabb. XXIV, 5; a. fr.
