נשואות. Yeb. III, 6 נכרית נ׳ ואחד one of them has married a stranger. Ib. האחיות את הנ׳ ומתו and those brothers who had married two sisters died. Ib. I, 2 (2b) . . . היתה לאחיו נשואה Y. ed. VIII, 6 וכ׳ הכתב את השיאו they transcribed the inscription on the stones in seventy languages; Sot. 35b; Y. ib. VII, 21d bot. - 5) to give aaway in marriage; to cause to marry. Keth. 11 1b המשיא כל וכ׳ בתו he who marries his daughter to a scholar. Ib. 67b top וכ׳ היתומה את משיאין we must first help the ffatheless maiden to marry, and then the fatherless lad. נשא ch. same, 1) to lift up, v. טי. -2) to bring, offer. Pesik. B'shall., p. 90b, sq. נשא אימיה (Ms. O. נשאה) his mother was bringing (the bread); v., however, נסח. -- 3) (neut. verb) to move, stir. Taan. 24a; B. Mets. S5b, v. נשב.
נשב (b. h.) to blow. Ber. 3b בו ונושבת . בא (Ms. M. ומנשבת Pi.) the north wind came and blew at him. Ab. III, 17 בו ונושבות.. אפילו even iff all the winds of the world came and blew at it (to uproot it) &c.; Taan. 20a; a. fr. Pi. נב 1) same. Cant. R. to IV, 16. Yoma 21b; a. fr. -- 2) to cause to blow. Keth. 111b עליה ומנשבה .. הקבה the Lord brings a wind .. and lets it pass over it (the wheat). Hif. השיב same. הגשם ומוריד הרוח משיב who causes the wind to blow and the rain to descend, a clause in- serted in (P'buroth (v. גבורות) during the winter season. Taan. 3b וכ׳ אין הרוח משיב אמר if he said in his prayers, ׳ho causes the wind to blow only. Ib. 24a הרוח מ׳ אמר וכ׳ as soon as he said, ׳Who causes &c., a wind arose; a. e.

נשבים, נשבין, ני׳m. pl.(נשב; cmp. f trap. enare net. Y. Sabb. XIII, 14a bot.; Y. Bets. III, 62a top ׳ מחוסר that which must be caught by snares to be available. Sabb. 90b לנ׳ אותן מצניעין they (the horse's hairs) are laid aside to be used for bird snares. B. Kam. VII, 7 (79b) אין וכ׳ נשבים פורסין (Talm. ed. נישובים; Ms. M. נשששבין; Rashi to Hull. 116a quotes דישבין) you must not spread gins for doves, unless &c.

נשי, נשה, נשא (b. h.; cmp. נשא) 1) to move, slip. Hull. 91a it is called gid hannasheh (v. גיד), ממקומו שנ׳ וכ׳ because it slipped from its place and went up; Yalk. Gen. 133. Ib. מקומו את שנשא . . חנניא רaא R. H. said, .. . because it left its place; Gen. R. s. 78 ממקומו שנשה; a. e. -- 2) to discard, forget. Ned. 50b נשינו אמרו אבותינו וכ׳ טובה our fathers said (Lam.
