R. s. 5, a. e. גדולה של נ׳ the kiss of homage; של נ׳ פרקים the kiss of meeting again; פרישות של נ׳ the kiss of parting; קריבות של נ׳ the kissing of relations. Deut. נשירה f. (שר) falling of, dropping (of fruits). Y. Macc. I, beg. 31, v. נשילה. Y. Peah II, 20a bot.בנשירתו פרט קדש the dropping grapes are dedicated (to charity, cease to be private property) at the moment of dropping (before they reach the ground). Ib. וכ׳ בנשירתו לקט if one inter- cepts the grapes in falling &c.; Y. Ter. VI, end, 44b. Ib. וכ׳ פיאה בנשיכת, read; פרט בנשירת it refers to grapes intercepted in falling. XXXVII וישכהו אלא וישקהו קורא תהי אל read not, 'and he kissed him' (Gen. XXXIII, 4) but, 'and he bit him.' Tosef. B. Kam. I, 5 לישוך . . . מועדת אינה is not con- sidered as forewarned(v. מועד) as regards.. .. biting ; a. fr. - Part. pass. גשוך, f נשוכה &c. Num. R. s. 20 בלשונו .. . רופא נחש נשוך a physician that comes to heal with his tongue (charm) one bitten by a serpent. Ter. Ib. ארבע מביא ומשין רובעין he takes four umps of dough which joined contain four fourths of a Kab and presses them together into one lump; a. e. - 2) to pay nterest. B. Mets. 70b (ref. to Deut. XXIII, 21) תשיך לא חשוך לאו תשיך מאי what is mmeant by tashshikh? Does it not mean thou mayest (or must) take interest? No, it means, thou mmayest (or must) pay him interest.
נשך m. (b. h.; preced.) [bite, trnsf., cmp. חבוליא) usury, interest. B. Mets. V, 1וכ׳ המלוה ׳ איוהו what is neshemkh? If one loans a Sela stipulating the debt at five Denars, contrad. to חדבית.
