ננתיצה f.(נתץ) cutting out, breaking up. Sifra Shmini, Par. 8, ch. X ׳ לו שיש את that which can be broken up (brick-work &c.). Y. Sabb. IX, 11d top המנוגע מבית נ נ׳ the breaking up of idolatrous structures (Deut. XII, 3) is analogous to the breaking up of leprous buildings (Lev. XIV, 45). Y. Orl. III, 63a bot. ׳ ׳ דכתיב for the term כתן is used for idolatry and for levitical purity (Lev. XI, 35). Tosef. Neg. VI, 10, contrad. to חליצה the removal of one affected stone. Mekh. נתיקה f. (נתק) 1) breaking loose. Pesik. Shub., p. 163a (ref.to אתקנך, er. XXII, 24) תקנתוו תהא בתיקתו ממקום from where he will be torn away will arise his regeneration (through repentance); Cant. R. to VIII, 6 שנתיקתף ממקום וכ׳ שם; Yalk. Jer. 303. - 2) forcing a door open. Y. Snh.. VII, 25d (in Chald. dict.) בנ׳ (חד) ליה יהיב struck him by opening the door forcibly; v. מרתוקא.
נהך (b. h.; cmp. נתח, נתק) to cut, reduce, smelt. [Tosef. Shebi. III, 19 לתוך, יתוך Var. ed. Zuck., v. כתק.] Nif. ניתך to be smelted, reduced to slags. Zeb. XII, 6 הבשר נ׳ if the fesh in the fire is burned to hard lumps; ib. 106a, contrad. to אפר נעשין; v. חרוכא. Hif. התיך to ssmelt, cast, pour. Ex. R. s. 15 . . . כסף של וכ׳ התיכן the idols of silver .. , he caused to melt and be shapeless as before they were cast. Y. Sabb. X, 10b bot. אבר המתיך he who casts lead (on the Sabbath). Naz. 50b והתיכו and he melted it (the fat); Tosef. Ohol. IV, 3 וחיתכו, וחתכו (corr. acc.); Y. Nas. VII, 56b bot. Y. Ab. Zar. III, 43b; ib. נתן (b. h.) to give; to place, put. Gitt. I, 6 וכ׳ גט תן give this letter of divorce to my wife. Ib. וכ׳ גט תנו give ye &c. Ib. מיתה לאחר tיתנ לא they must not deliver it after the man's death; a. v. fr. -- ונ׳ נשפא, v. נשא. -- לb עיניו ׳ (to put an eye upon) to intend. B.
