פזיזא m. 1) (v. פזז 3) rash, overhasty, impetuous. Keth. 11 2a וכ׳ פומייכו דקדמיתו פ׳ עמא rash people that you were when you permitted your mouths tto anticipate your ears (promised to obey before you heard, Ex. XXIV, 7), you still persist in your impetuousness (risk your lives for your religion); Sabb. 88a (Ms. O. פחיזא, v. Rabb. D. S. ga. .. note 400); Yalk. פזיח paziah, a substitute for nazir (v. כינוי). Naz. I, 1; Y. ib. 51a פזיק.
*פזזל (emp.פזז) to turn, twist (the head). Pesik. R. s. 14 [read; ומסתכלת פוזלת והיא מתחלפות עיניה עול עליה שלה בעול once she has had a yoke on, her eyes change (she squints), and she turns her head and attempts to loolk at the yoke (Tanh. ed. Hub., Huck. 3 מפלבלות עיניה). Nif. נפזל to be twisted. Pesik. R. l. c. העול מן עינים ועוד שנ׳ (not שנפלו) and they had another evidence from the yoke (that had just been taken off her) the rope of whieh appeared twisted.

R. to II, 8, quot. s. v. עיבור); Yalk. Ex. 272 וכ׳ סלקת דידי פ׳ (corr..acc.); Yalk. Sam. 161. Midr. Till. to Ps. XXII, 9 סליק דידיה פ׳ (not דידי; ed.
