פלילה f. (b. h.; preced.) argument, plea; decision, ydgment. Snh. 111b (ref. to פליליה, Is. XXVIII, 7) פ אין דיינים אלא p'lilah means the verdict of judges; Yalk. פלך m. (b. h.; פלך to cut out, round; cmp. פל) [circle,] 1) district. B. Bath. 21a ופ׳ פ׳ בכל . . . התקינו they ordained that teachers must be appointed, one for each district. Macc. 7a. Ib. 12b קולט פלכו לפלכו ... לפ׳ מפ׳ גולה . . . לוי בן a Levite (native of a place of refuge) who has killed a person accidentally fees from one district to another, but if he fees to his own native (juridical) district, his district protects him; Zeb. 117a; Yalk.
