פרוור פרור m. (b. h.; v. Ges. H. Dict.1a s. v. פרבר; cmp., however, פרוותא, פרן, a. meanings of פרי a. פרר) [open place,] outwork, court, market. Hall. IV, 11 הקונה שבירושלים בפ׳ כקונה בסוריא Mish. ed. (Bab. ed. בפרוודד; Y. ed. ירוש׳ בפרווד; Ms. M. בפרוורי) he who owns land in Syria is under the same obligations as if he owned land in the outskirts of Jerusalem; Gitt. 8b בפרוארי); Tosef. Ter. II, 10 פרואר ed. Zuck. (V ar. פרוארי, פרוד; פרוזדר, corr. acc..). Tosef. Ab. Zar. VII (VIII), 10 וכ׳ שישראל פרואר ed. Zuck. פרוותא, פרותא f. (v. preced. wds.) outworks; port, markett place. Targ. II Esth. I, 2, end וכ׳ ברייאתא פ׳ Var. (ed. Lag. פורטתא; oth. ed. פנדתא, Var. פדוו׳, corr. acc.) the outer precincts &c. -- B. פרוז m. (פרז) =b. h. פרזי, one residing in an open ptacr, opp. מוקף. Meg. 19a פ׳ קרוי יומו בן פ׳ one living in an open place for that one day (Purim) is called a parug (bound to celebrate the fourteenth day of Adar, Esth. IX, 19); Y. ib. II, 73b top שעה באותה הוא פ׳ (not היה) he is a. parug for the time being.

פרוזבוטי m. pl. (~pzazv rai) ambassadors. Ex. R. s. 5 וכ׳ פרעה של פ׳ יום it was Pharaoh's day of reception of ambassadors &c.; Tanh. Vaera 5 פרוזבטיא (corr. acc.). Meg. 15a sq. בפ׳ בא וזה בפרוזבולי בא זה (Ms. M. בולי בפרוס בוטי בפרום . . .) the one (Haman) had come to court as a member of the boule (senate, 1bb ook), and the other (Mordecal) as one of the legates (to plead for the building of the Temple); Yalk. Esth. 1045 וכ׳ ב׳ ירדו ומשם (not פרוזבי׳ ירד) and from there they (Mordecai and Haman) went down (to Shushan) as legates &c.; ישראל אאמרו כנגדו פרוזבוטן ירד לפיכך . . . פרוזבוטיס m. (~~~~~~~~מ, v. preced.) ambassador, legate. Ex. R. s. 42 וכ׳ לעטר פ׳ ששלחה מדינה (not טים . . .) a province that sent a egate to offer a crown to the king. Tanh. Vayigg. 6 אצלו פרוזבטים יהודה שלח (corr. acc.) he (Jacob) sent Judah as an ammbassador to him (Joseph). Yalk. Esth. 1058 בפ׳ עמו שירדתי הוא שונאי he (Mordecai) is my enemy, since I came down with him (from Palestine) as a legate (to plead against the building of the Temple, v. preced.). -- Pl. פרוזבוטין. פרוזבול פרדסבול m. (an abbrev. of ~~~ 3~~~ך; ooeo oיs, v. בולבוטיס) prosbul, a declaratson made in court, before the execution of a loan, to the efect that the law of limitation by the entrance of the Sabbatical year shall mot apply to the loan to be transacted. Shebi. X, 4; Gitt. 36a וכ׳ לכם מוסרני פ׳ של גופו זהו this is the body (for- mula) of a prosbol, I declare before you----, judges in the place-, that I shall collect any debt that I may have outstanding with--, whenever Idesire, and this is attested by the judges or witnesses. Shebi. X, 3 משמט אינו פ׳ the prosbol has the effect of preventing limitation; כשראה ש׳ הלל התקין . when he observed that people refused to loan to one another and thus violated what is written in the Law (Deut. XV, 9), Hillel introduced the prosbol. Gitt. 36b וכ׳ לדריה פ׳ הלל התקין כי when Hillel instituted the prosbol, did he ordain it for his time only or for all time to come? Shebi. *פרוזביון (corr. פרוזביין) adv. (~~~ ~, or ~~~2) by force, against one's will. Cant. R. to I, 2 פ׳ את תעשה וכ׳ שליח thou must be the messenger (to go) between us and the Lord (ref. to Ex. XX, 19).
*פרוזביטרון m. (~~~~~~~~~~= ~~~~ו~~~, formed like tpeopaoי) embassy. Tanh., ed. Bub., D'barim, supplem. 1 בלשונו עמו מדברים . . . פ׳ יבוא שאם that when an embassy from another place comes, they may speak to it in its own language; Y'lamd. to Deut. I, quot. in Ar. בלשונו עמו משיחין מלך של פרזבטין יבאו שאם (read; בלשונן עמן . . . רוזבוטין יבאו שאם) that if ambassadors of a king come, they mmay converse with them in their language.
