פרידה f. (פרד) 1) one of a pair of pigeons, single pigcon, opp. to קן. Kinn. III, 6 אחת ׳ . . . צריכה she is bound to offer a single igeon in addition; Zeb. 67b. Sifra Vayikra, N'dab., ch. VIII, Par. 7; Zeb. 65a וכ׳ אחת פ׳ אפי׳ he may offer even one sinle pigeon; a. fr. - Pl. פרידין (m.), פרידות. Kinn. l. c. דין. . . Bab. ed. (Mish. ed. דות . ..). פריה f. (פרה) increase; ורביה פ׳ (with ref. to ורבו פרו, Gen. I, 28) the dutty of propagating the human race, the duty of maarrying; marital duty. M. Kat. 8b ביטול מפני ור׳ פ׳ because it might cause a diminution of marrriiages (as people might defer marriages for the festive season as most convenient). Gen. R. s. 8 וכ׳ ור׳ פ׳ על מצווה האיש the duty of marrying has been put on man, but not on woman; Tanh. Noah 12. Yeb. 62a ור׳ פ׳ קיים he has com- plied with the duty of propagation (and need not marry again). Ib.נינהו ור׳ פ׳ בני נמי דמעיקרא ffor they were subject to the duty of propagation before they became Jews (it being one of the Noachidian laws, Gen. IX, 7); a. fr.
פריום m. (פרי, v. פוריא II) a curtained litter. Cant. R. to III, 10 וכ׳ הפ׳ מתוד . . פ׳ לה עשו make a litter for her; it is better that her beauty be seen through the curtains of the litter; Num. R. s. 12 פרוים (corr. acc.).

פריונא m. (preced. wds.; cmp. פוריינא) litter, wedding couch. Targ. Job VIII, 16 פריוניה (h. text גנתו, v. גגון).

פריחה f. (פרח) 1) flight, flying off. Y. Yoma II, 39a top וכ׳ נתכפרו האחרונה בפ׳ with the last piece blown off the altar the owner obtains forgiveness (as if it had been burnt). -- 2) eruption, esp. the white eruption which causes the leper to be deelared clean (Lev. XIII, 12, v. פרח). Neg.VIII, 41read שבפריחתן איברים ראשי פריחות כל וכ׳ כשחזרו טמא טהרו as regards he eruptions on the main limbs, on the ground of which they declared the unclean. clean, whenever they resume their natural color, he is unclean again. Ib. 5 אתהפ׳ ממעכב prevents the person from being declared clean on account of the white erup- tion. Tosef. ib. III, 9 היחלט פריחת (not פריחה) the erup- tion which appears after the person has been declared definitely unclean; הסגד פריהת atter he has been locked up for probation; a. fr. -- Pl. פריחות. Y. Meg. פריכה f. (פרך) crushing; rigorous tyranny. Sot. 11b; Ex. R. s. 1 (expl. בפרך, Ex. I, 13) בפ׳ itt means with rigor' (opp. o דך בפה with persuasion); Yalk. ib. 163.
פריכורין m. pl. (~~~~(up~, ~~; v. LXX Deut. III, 4) district. Deut. R. s. 11 וכ שלך בפ׳ . .. נפגשת אתה (not בפירב, בפירכ׳) thou (Jacob) didst meet the angel in thine own territory (on earth), but I (Moses) went up to the angels into their territory; (Yalk. Deut. 95 באפרכיא); v. פראכורין.
