צינוק m. (צנק, sec. r. of צוק; cmp. Samar. Ex. XXV, 25; Deut. X XXIII, 25) tight bundle. Tosef. Maasr. I, 6 ירק לשוק צ׳ . . שאגדו herbs which were tied in the field with the intention to re-pack them in a bundle for the market. Y. ib. I, 49a. [For b. h. צינק, v. next w.]
צינוקא m. (preced.; cmp. אסר a. derivatives) narrow prison. Targ. Jer. XXIX, 26 (ed. Wil. צנוקא).

צינית I, צנית f. (v. צינא I) basket. Lam. R. to I, 17 צ׳ מקל . . לאחד like one who had nothing but a statf and a basket (with which he made a living).
צינית II f. (צנן, v. צנה II) callosity, callus (on the sole of the foot). Sabb. VI, 6, expl. ib. 65a ארעא בת a. growth caused by the soil, v. ארעא.

ציפא I m. (v. next w.; cmp. צפצפה a. ערבה) willow. - Pl. ציפי. Kidd. 45a וכ׳ צ׳ תותי . . שתו קא were drinking wine under willows in Babylonia; [oth. opin., v. next w.]
ציפא II, or ציפא, צפא m. (צפף; cmp P. Sm. 3428 s. v. צף a. sq.) [coarse texture,] 1) the feshy covering of date-stones. Hull. 50b וכ׳ צ׳ בלא בדוחקא בצ׳ . . . כגון when three date-stones can pass the openung, by force with the covering on them, and easily without the covering. ׳־ 2) reedssmmat. - Pl ציפי or ציפי. Ber. 25a וכ׳ רב דבי צ הני חזו look at the mats in the school house, some sleep thereon, while others are studying. B. ציפא III, ציפה f. (v. preced.) flake of wool, hatch- elled wool. Sabb. 50a ובצ׳ בפקורין יוצאין may go out with lint or a flake of wool (on a wound; oth. opin. in Tosaf.; with a wig); Tosef. ib. V (VI), 2 ובצוסא (ed. Zuuck. צמר ובציפי). Tosef. Kil. V, 23 והציפה, v. פוקרין. Sifra. Sh'mini, ch. VII, Par. 6 הצ׳ אף יכול you may think the same law applies to raw wool (as to a woven garament); Yalk. Lev. 537 הצירעה (corr. acc.). - Pl. m. (of ציף, צוף) ציפים, צופים (or צופים). Y. B. Kam. IX, beg. 6a כשעשאו צו׳ when the thief changed the stolen wool by making flakes of it. *ציפאריי m. pl. (v. צפרא) the sparkling morning lights. Y. Hag. II, beg. 77a (interpret עיפה שחר עושה, Am. IV, 13) וכ׳ תוהו צ׳ אילין (he turns) the morning lights into voidness, darkness and obscurity.

ציפוחא m. (צפח to rush, storm, v. P. Sm. 3431), נפש ציפוח rashness of soul, recklessness. Targ. EEz. XXV, 15; XXXVI, 5 (h. text שאט).
ציפוי, צפוי m. (b. h.; צפה Pi.) covering, overlaying. Y. R. Hash. III, 58d top הצ׳ מחמת . . . היה if its sound became thick on account of the ovetlaying (of the mouth- piece with gold). Y. Hag. III, end, 79d וכ׳ שעומד צ׳ לא was the overlaying (of the altar) not solid enough to stand by itself?
