XXV, 30) וכ׳ נצמתת יובל שם שאין מי that which without the law concerning the jubilee would be sold for ever, is recovered by dint of the jubilee; רצאת נצמתת אינה . . זו which excludes a case like this (a sale for sixty years), where the sale would not be perpetual even if the law of jubilee did not exist at all.

Sot. 20b צמית פחדא, v. ביעתותא. Sabb. 109a בחלא ליה צמית קא was bathing his foot in vinegar (on the Sabbath) to reduce the swelling; a. e. - 2) to assemble, meet. Y. Dem. צנא m. (v. צינא I) basket (of palm leaves). Taan. 9b דתמרי צ׳ מלא a basketful of dates; Pes. 88a. Hull. 57a צ׳ דאינקורי a basket (coop) of birds, v. אינקורא. B. Mets. 25a ופירי בצ׳ when one found a basket by the side of fruits. Ib.לצ׳ אוגנין ליה דאית when the basket has rims by which to handle it; a. fr. -- Meg. 28b סיפרי דמלי צ׳ a basket full of books, a man full of earning, but without method. צנה, צינה I f. (b. h.; v. צנן) polished buckler or cuirass (cmp. סנוורתא). Midr. Till. to Ps. I וכ׳ תל. . . מנין whence do we learn to include the fourth side (as pro- tected)? We read (Ps. V, 13) aas with a cuirass &c.' Ib. to Ps. XXXV, 2 וכ׳ וצ׳ למגן וכי (ed. Bub.) do Ineed buckler and cuirass?; Yalk. ib. 722. Tanh. Naso, ed. Bub. 27 (ref. to Ps. XCI, 4) בתורה סוחר שהוא מי לכל נעשה אני צ׳ I am a cuirass to whosoever travels about with the Loaw; Yalk. Ps. 842; Tanh. Naso 23. Ex. R. s. 40 (ref. to צנן, Josh.
