קיבה, v. קבה.
קיבול, קב׳m. (קבל I) 1) taking, catching. Sifre Num. 129 (ref. tto Num. XIX, 18) האמט ׳ק תעשב םש ויה רשא which had been there' at the time of catching the un- cleanness. - 2) receiving. Zeb. V, 1 ׳כו ןמד ׳ק their blood must be received in a consecrated vessel (v. שרת). Ib. I, 4 (13a) ׳כו ׳קב . . . לספנ חבזה the sacrifice becomes unfit through wrong intentions in one of four acts, in slaughter-- ing, receiving (the blood) &c.; a. fr. -- ׳ק ילכ, ׳ק תיב (or sub. ילכ) a receptacle, opp. טושס. Bets. II, 9 ׳ק ילכ םושמ is susceptible of uncleanness, because it is a receptacle. Tosef. Kel. B. Bath. VI, 1, v. טושפ. Kel. XVII, 16. Sabb. 84a; a. fr. -- 3) acceptance. Sire Num. 115; Yalk. Num. 750 שמים מלכות ק׳ בה שיש פרשה a Biblical section in which is expressed the acceptance of the divine kingdom.
קיבולא, קב׳ ch. same. Targ. Y. Num. XIX, 18 בעדן אתבוס ליבק (to be placed after ןמת ווהד), v. Sifre Num. 129, quot. in preced.
קיבולת f. (קבל I) contract-llabor, job. M. Kat. 11b וכ׳ שבק׳ אע'פ בידו אחרים מלאכת היתה if the mourner has work for others on hand, even if it be contract-labor, he must not work; (emended) ׳ק הניאש ןיב ׳ק ןיב whether it be contract-labor or not (whether he is paid for the job or by the day. Ib. 12a וכ׳ בתוך ק׳ מקבלי if gentiles take labor on contract within the Sabbath limits (of the Jewish employer), it is forbidden to let them work on the Sabbath. Ib.; Tosef. ib. II, 5 ׳כו דעומב ׳ק ןילבקמ you may contract during the festive week for work to be done after the festival. Y. Sabb. I, 4a bot. ׳קב ןיב ריכשב ןיב. whether he is hired by the day or by the piece; Y. Ab. Zar. I, 39b bot.; Tosef. ib. I, 3 קבלות שכיר היה אם (not שכר) if he was hired by the piece.
*קיבוסת f. (קבס, cmp. כבש, a. Syr. קפס, קפסותא P. Sm. 3695, sq.) repression, interomission (of prophetic reve- lation). Y. Snh. XI, 30b ׳כו ול היהש אלא .. היננח Hana- niah . was a true prophet, but he had an intermission (his gift of prophecy was in abeyance), and hearing what Jeremiah prophesied &c.

קיבורא m. (קבר)[something arched,; 1) coil. B. Mets. 24b, v. לזא II. Hull. 95b אתלכתב ׳ק a skein of blue wool. -- Pl, ירוביק. Ab. Zar. 17b ׳כו ׳ק ירת היל ותייא they brought two coils before him and said to him, which is warp, and which is woof?-- 2) luster of fruit. קיבלי f. a species of quails (שלו), partridge. Yoma 75b; Yalk. Ex. 260, v. ילכיע. Sifra M'tsor a, Par. 1, ch. I ילביק ז הנימבש הרורבה R. S. to Neg. XIV, 1 (some ed. קובלי; ed. Sifra קיפל, read קיפלי; Rabad to Sifra שבלי וקבלי) the chosen of its kind, that means the quail; [Yalk. Lev. 559 הלבק י חקלו--- Pl. תואלביק. Tosef. Neg. VIII, 3 (Var. ed. Zuck. מקובלאות, corr. acc.; v. R. S. to Neg. l. c.).

קיבר m. (cibarium) the coarser meal which remains ofter the fine wheat four, shorts. Y. Peah VII, 20a bot. וכ׳ סאה קמח . . . סולת . . . ארבלית סאה one Arbelian S'ah of wheat yielded one S'ah pollen, one first flour, one cibarium &c. (v. Sm. Ant.a I, 66b); Y. Sot. I, 17b; ib. IX, 24b bbot. (insert תלוס האס);Tanh. T'tsavveh 13; Keth. 112a אירוביק (read; אירביק cibaria); a. e. - ׳ק תפ (panis ciba- rius) black bread. Makhsh. II, 8 ׳ק תפ ילכוא the class of eaters of black bread (slaves, poor men &c.). Y. Ber. VI, 10b bot. ׳ק תפ, opp. הייקנ תפ. Y. Hall. XVIII, 8) והק׳ . . . הבינוני . . . המעולה ועשרים אתד the uppermost (cream) is one sixtieth portion of a given quantity of milk, the middle (milk) is one fortiieth, and the common (remainder) contains 5 percenf. milk substance.
