קיםm. (קום) standing; (it is) established, certain; ל־ ק׳ to be certain, to knmw. Sabb. 136a ׳כו היב יל ׳ק Iam certain that its (the infant's) months were complete (that it was no abortiion). Ab. Zar. 76b ׳כו היווגב יל ׳ק רמ I am sure about this gentleman (that he is a strict observer); about you I am not. קימה f. (b. h.; קום) 1) standing up, rising. Ber. 11a (expl. ובקומך, Deut. VI, 77) ממש ק׳ ק׳ גשעת at ttthe time of rising, whereby rising in its proper sense is meant (rising from bed,and not in tthe sense of standing erect at reeital). Kidd. 32b (ref. to Lev. XIX, 32) ׳כו אלא ׳ק יתרמא אלthe text means only the rising that is a token of respect, v. רויה, Ib. ׳כו הב ןיאאש ׳ק המ as rising iss something with which no material sacrifice is connected &c. Ib. 33a, v. לוטיב; a. fr. - 2) erection,puttingup. Y. Ab. Zar.IV,,44a(ref. to Lev. XXVI, I) ׳ק איה אל היישע איה אל are 'making and 'erecting not the same? Answ. ׳כו ׳ק הליחתב היישע, v. הישעע; a. e.

Ib. 37b ׳כו ׳ק השעש דמלמ this use of the plural (ימד, Gen. IV, 10) shows that C. inficted many wounds and bruises on his brother &c. Gen. R. s. 2 ׳כו ׳ק הז והבו andvoid' (Gen. I, 2), this refers to Oain who intended to reduce the world to waste and voidness; a. v. fr.
