קמר (cmp. כמר) to bend, arch over, cover. Erub. VIII, 9 רומקל ךירצ ןוחבמש the pit (הקוע) outside of his private ground he must arch over; a. e. - Part. pass. רוממק; f. הרומק &c. Ib. 10 ׳כו ׳ק אוהש ביב a gutter covered up four cubits on public ground; Tosef. ib. IX (VI), 18; Y. ib. VIII, end, 25b. Ohol. III, 7. Ib. VII, 3, v. רמק) ׳ק ןימכ ׳כו ויה (not ׳ירמק) the wagons were like he tilted carts, in order that the sacred vessels might not be split (through close packing), v. יטספקסא; Num. *קן m. (v. קון) preparation, arrangement. Gitt. 6a top אתליגמקו אסומלוק ןק(עמש) יפא even if the husband order- ing a letter of divorce to be written heard only the sound produced by the cutting of the pen and the unfolding of the parchment; [Rashi; ןק onomatopoetic; crackling, crepitation; Var. לק sound]. ~ c. (b. h.; קננן) 1) nest; birds in a nest. Hull. XII, 1, a. fr. ןקה חוליש the duty of letting the mother bird go when a nest is taken out (Deut. XXII, 6 sq.). Gen. R. s. 19 וגיקמ האצוי שא fire goes forth from its nest and burns it (the phcenix, v. לוח II); Midr. Sam. ch. XII; Yalk. Job 917 וגקמ. Ex.
