קציעתא ch. same, cassia. Targ. Job XLII, 14. Targ. Ex. XXX, 24 (h. text הדק). -- Pl. אתעיצק. Targ. Ps. XLV, 9 Ms. (ed. sing.).
קציפה f. (קצף) anger. Lam. R. to V, 20 עייי חושב ק׳ ׳כו the prediction of God's anger was contradicted by Isaiah (Is. LVII, 16). Ib. 22; ib. to I, 2, v. הסיאמ; Pesik. Vattom., p. 130b קצפין (read; קצפון). Esth. R. to I, 18 תאזה ׳קל ידכ this shame is enough to cause such anger.
קציצאf. (קצץ) cut, figure; (cmp. French taille) waist. Targ. II Esth. I, 2 (3) חדא ק׳ בני . . . כולהון all of them of the same height . ., of the same figure.
קציצה f. (קצץ) 1) cutting, felling. B. Kam. 91b אילן ׳קל דמועה (Ms. F. ןaקיל) a tree which must be cut. Lam. R. introd. (R. Za' era) ׳כו הפי ׳ק ןמז ובש on it (he 15b of Ab) begins the good season for cutting trees for fuel, v. מאכולת. Bekh. 34b (in Chald. dict.) בהאי . . . איכוין וכ׳ ק׳ he intended to make himself appear clean by cut- ting off (the leprous spot), and the rabbis punished him for this very cut (so that he could never be declared clean from this cut-off leprous spot); a. e. - 2) stipulation (of price &c.), bargain. Shebu. 45b וכ׳ ודאי ק׳ stipulations of prices one surely remembers, v. קיצותא. -- 3) pl. קציצות cut fruits. Maasr. III, 4 ק׳ שדה בצד ואפי׳ בדרך ק׳ מצא (Ms. M. קציעות) if one finds cut fruit (single berries) on the road or even beside a field where cut fruit has been spread to dry; B. Mets. 21b Var. (ed. תועיצק). - 4) (v. העיצק a. next w.) the capsule of the lTTyfllin containing Biblieal sections. Ber. 24a. Succ. 26b top. Kel. קציצים, קציצין m. pl. (קטץ, cmp. מוקצה) lstores,] 1) capsulcs, pods. Tosef. Shebi. II, 6 וכ׳ גמורין ק׳ עשה אם (Var. קצוצים) if the plant has produced ripe capsules (or pods) before the New Yeaar; Y. ib. II, 34a ןיצצק. - 2) capsules containing fScriptural portions, lTfillin, (v. preced. 4). Gitt. 57b sq. וכ׳ תפלין קציצי סאה ארבעים Ar. (ed. קצוצי; Rashi to Succ. 26b יצוציק) forty S'ahs of capsules of T'fillin were found on the heads of those slain at Bethar; Loam. R. to II, 2 יצוצק; Y. Taan. IV, 69a top יצוצק.

קציר m. (b. h.; קצר) cutting, harvest, ripening season. R. Hash. 9a ׳כו תיעיבש לש ׳ק a ripening in the Sabbatical year which goes over into the eighth year, . e. plants which were partly ripe in the Sabbatical year are suject to the laws of the Sabbatical year. Ib. רמועה רישק the cutting of the Omer (v. רמוע); a. fr. -- Lev. R. s. 18 (ref. tto Is. XVII, 11) מלכיות של קצירן (קצירין) the cutting down (destruction threatened) by the government; יסורין של ק׳ by sufferings; ׳כו ךאלמ לש וריצצק the cutting down by the angel of death, v. דנדנ; Yalk. קצירא m. (קצר) [cut, afflicted,] sick. B. Bath. 16b, v. דלי. Sabb. 12b בק׳ לשיולי Ar. (ed. בתפיחה) to inquire after the health of (to visit) a sick person. - Pl. קצירי. R. קצירה f. = קציר cutting, harvesting. Y. Peah I, beg. 15a וכ׳ שבולת קצירת the cutting of the first ear has the same eftfect (on the duty of leaving a corner) as the strik- ing off of the pile has (on the duty of giving T'rumah). Sabb. 70a; a. fr.
קצע (b. h.; cmp. קצה) 1) to scrape. Neg. XII, 6 שניהן ןיעוק . . both neighbors must bear the exxpense for tearing out (the leprous stone) and for scraping (he wall); Sifra M'tsor a, Neg., Par. 6, ch. IV; a. e. -- 2) to cut, dry, and pack flgs (v. העיצק). Taan. 28a תיעיצק יעצוק those pretending to be engaged in paclking figs; Tosef. ib. IV (III),7(Var. יאצוק); Y. ib.
