Briggs, William, s. Augustine, of Norwich, alderman; fellow Corpus Christi Coll., Cambridge, 1668. B.A. 1666, M.A. 1670 (incorp. 26 Oct., 1670), D.Med. 1677, fellow College of Physicians 1682, a physician to St. Thomas' Hospital 1682, and a physician in ordinary to William III., died 4 Sept., 1704, at Town Malling, Kent, buried there on the 11th.
