Hart Hall, matric.-entry under date 17 Dec., 1576, aged 16 (as arm.); a student of the Inner Temple 1580 (as son and heir of Sir Thomas, chancellor of England), of Holt Castle, knighted in 1592, M.P. Plymouth 1584-7, co. Worcester 1593, Salop 1597, co. Worcester 1604-11, died 15 May, 1615, father of Thomas 1600. See Foster's Inns of Court Reg.
