Buckner, Thomas, (said to be son of Thomas Buckner, alderman, of London), demy Magdalen Coll. 1610-18, B.A. 15 Dec., 1614, M.A. 28 June, 1617, fellow 1618-31 (incorp. at Cambridge 1621), B.D. 7 July, 1627, D.D. 15 March, 1638-9, preb. of Winchester 1635, chaplain to Archbishop Abbot, rector of Merstham, Surrey, 1632, and of Chevening, Kent, 1633, until his death 21 Jan., 1644-5.
