Cottam, Thomas of Brasenose Coll., from co. Lancaster; B.A. 23 March, 1568-9, M.A. 11 July, 1572, taught a grammar school in London, studied divinity at Rome, made a priest at Rheims, and returned to England, taken prisoner near Dover, imprisoned and tortured for 2 years, refused to take the oath of supremacy, executed at Tyburn 30 May, 1582.
