Croft, (Sir) Herbert, s. Edward, of Croft Castle, co. Hereford; M.P. co. Carmarthen 1588-9, co. Hereford 1593, 1601, 1604-11, 1614, Launceston 1597-8, knighted 7 May, 1603, became a Benedictine monk at Douay, where he died (10) April, 1622, father of the next named. See Ath.
