Eure, Sir Sampson (Evers), serjeant-at-law, created D.C.L. 7 Feb., 1642-3; of Gatley Park, co. Hereford, bar.-at-law, of Gray's Inn, 1617, bencher 1638 (3rd son of Sir Francis), king's serjeant 1640, attorney-general in Wales, knighted 7 Aug., 1641, M.P. for Beaumaris 1621-2, Leominster 1640 (l.p.) till disabled 22 Jan., 1644, speaker of the parliament at Oxford, was a sufferer in the royal cause; died in 1659.
