Hassall, John, of London, gent. New Coll., matric. 10 Feb., 1592-3, aged 20; fellow 1594-1603, and B.C.L. 8 April, 1600 (as Halsall), created D.D. 26 Jan., 1625-6, canon of Lichfield 1602, rector of Brancaster 1603, and of Great Bircham, 1608, canon of Norwich 1615, and dean 1628, rector of North Creake (all Norfolk), 1640, until his death, 27 Dec., 1654; buried at North Creak.
