Rogers, John, s. Joh., of Eynsham, Oxon, cler. Corpus Christi Coll., matric. 7 Feb., 1693-4, aged 15; B.A. 1697, M.A. 13 March, 1700-1, fellow 1706-16, B.D. 1710, D.D. (by diploma) 7 July, 1721, rector of Wrington, Somerset, 1716, canon of Wells 1719, sub-dean 1721, chaplain in ordinary to George II. 1727 (when Prince of Wales 1726), vicar of St. Giles, Cripplegate, 1728, until his death 1 May, 1729, buried 13th at Eynsham; his father vicar of Eynsham 1665, brother of Robert 1701.
