Ryland, John, s. Richard, of Radbrooke, co. Gloucester, pleb. Magdalen Hall, matric. entry 27 June, 1634, aged 14; demy Magdalen Coll. 1635-40, B.A. 13 May, 1637, M.A. 6 Feb., 1639-40, fellow 1640-9, rector of Exhall, until ejected 1647 by the soldiers, rector of Bilton, co. Warwick, 1660, and of Birmingham St. Martin, 1663, archdeacon of Stafford 1660, canon 1660, and archdeacon of Coventry 1661 until his death 3 March, 1672-3; father of the next.
