Bateman, Sir Hugh, Bart., s. Richard, of Derby (town), arm. University Coll., matric. 25 June, 1774' aged 18; of Hartington Hall, co. Derby, created a baronet 15 Dec., 1806, with remainder to the heirs male of the bodies of his daughters, died 28 Jan., 1824. See Foster's Baronetage, Scott.
