Christison, Sir Robert, M.D., created D.C.L. 21 June, 1865, professor of materia medica, Edinburgh, 1832-77, lord rector of Edinburgh University 1880-1, etc., created a baronet 28 Nov., 1871 (son of Alexander Christison, of Edinburgh), died 27 Jan., 1882. See Foster's Baronetage.
