Brasenose Coll., matric. 1 Feb., 1832, aged 18, B.A. 1835; University Coll. fellow 1836-46 and tutor 1837, M.A. 1838, created D.D. 10 June, 1859, bishop of St. Helena 1859-62, and of Colombo 1862-70, rector of Elton, Hunts, 1845-59, canon of St. Paul's Cathedral, archdeacon of London, and chaplain-general to the Forces 1875, died 11 Aug., 1884.
