Corpus Christi Coll., matric. 21 April, 1809, aged 18; scholar 1809, fellow Exeter Coll. 1812-18, B.A. 1815, M.A. 1817, created D.C.L. 23 June, 1852, hon. student Christ Church 1867-76, a justice of court of Queen's Bench 1835-59, and knighted, recorder of Exeter 1832-5, bar.-at-law, Middle Temple, 1819, serj.-at-law 1832, died 11 Feb., 1876.
