Draper, Edward Alured, s. William, of Worton, Oxon, arm. Brasenose Coll., matric. 3 Dec., 1793, aged 18; lieut.-colonel in the army, served with the 3rd guards at the battle of Alexandria 21 March, 1801, present at the capture of St. Lucia, A.D.C. to the Prince of Wales (then Prince Regent), chief secretary Island of Bourbon 1813, served in the Mauritius over a quarter of a century, where he died treasurer and paymaster-general of the Colony 22 April, 1841, aged 67.
