St. John's Coll., matric. 6 Nov., 1799, aged 19; B.A. 1804, M.A. 1820, B. & D.D. 1828, professor of classics and history Royal Military College, Great Marlow (removed to Sandhurst 1805-22), held various curacies, head-master Free Grammar School, Market Bosworth, 1829, until he died 8 Nov., 1854, father of John Evans, D.C.L. 1877, and of Arthur 1840.
