Fane, John, Lord Burghersh, created D.C.L. 10 June, 1834, 11th Earl of Westmorland, general in the army, G.C.B., G.C.H., and a knight of several foreign orders, colonel 56th regiment, envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary at Berlin 1841, at Vienna 185 1, etc, M.P.
