Hay, Thomas, born at Dupplin, co. Perth, s. George, Earl of Kinnoull. Christ Church, matric. 13 June, 1726, aged 15; 8th Earl of Kinnoull, recorder of Cambridge 1741, a lord of the Treasury 1754, chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster 1758, ambassador to Lisbon 1759, chancellor of St. Andrew's University 1765, died 28 Dec., 1787.
