Hellier, (Sir) Samuel, of Woodhouse, co. Stafford, knight, created D.C.L. 7 July, 1763, knighted 7 Sep., 1762, when high sheriff of Worcester, died 12 Oct., 1784; devised his estates to the Rev. Thomas Shaw, who assumed the additional surname and arms of Hellier by royal licence 13 July, 1786.
