Knapton, Augustus James, o.s. Augustus Brine, of West Lulworth, Dorset, arm. (rear-admiral). Exeter Coll., matric. 30 Jan., 1823, aged 18; B.A. 1826, M.A. 1829, of Boldre and Rope Hill, Hants, assumed the surname of Knapton in lieu of Brine by royal hcence in 1860, P.C. Anstey, Wilts, 1828, until his death 19 Dec., 1879.
